DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: DFB1 based-design clone
OK, so it is not so close to the smaller CPLD. Thank you.

Re: DFB1 based-design clone
The latest github version might have some experimental features not required in it. The release version I think came very close to fitting, but not quite.
Changing the synthesis mode to 'density' will make it fit compfortably, but the timings will probably be completely out of whack.
The biggest consumer of terms and macrocells is the SDRAM controller. It's a home-grown controller based on some internet reading and Stephen's TF330 code. It's not very well written and has a lot of extra counters to allow for the differences in clocks, the fact the system clock can change and various other features and restrictions.
Someone who is good at such things could probably improve it no end and make a 144 version without some of the fancier (or under-development) features:-
* Strip out software registers
* Strip out the SPI port
* Strip out 1M flash support
* Fix the SDRAM size
etc.

Re: DFB1 based-design clone
One solution is to use Linux. :) For example Arch Linux has it as a ready-to-use package, you only need the tar file from their website.TotO wrote: 02 May 2023 12:07The installer fail, I can't properly install the software. Some forums report this issue and no solution exist.
Works like a charm, I'm using it for flashing both SuperVidel and CT6x.

Yes, I have to see that. But I doubt it will do the job, because I'm using an ARM based laptop.
Another idea is a remote desktop session from an order computer running ISE on my network.

Re: DFB1 based-design clone
I have never been able to get Impact to work -- I use xc3sprog to program the JED file -- but the IDE did just about install on my Linux distro (Debian) and I've used the pre-packaged virtual machine for windows in the past (it's a virtualbox image with Suse Linux [or something] running a pre-installed ISE). It should work on anything than can run virtualbox fast enough.
AFAIK there's no ARM-native IDE.

I have used Impact on Windows XP (Parallel Desktop / Intel Mac) from 2013 to 2021 to program hundreds of CPLD from my designs.

I will order soon the PCB as the CPLD footprint do not change between 144 and 288.
