Tapwater isn't great, I get a lot of scale here, so we tend to use a lot of filtered water, especially where water get's heated up.
What you seem to have there looks like the orange 'sludge' our water seems to leave in places like the dishwasher and shower. No idea WTH it is, but it's not nice.

Given the state of the rivers, best not to dwell on it

Yeah, I've read similar before. As it goes, our water is very clear, it's just leaving orange deposits in the DW and shower.exxos wrote: 01 May 2024 13:46https://www.stwater.co.uk/my-supply/wat ... red-water/rubber_jonnie wrote: 01 May 2024 10:08 Tapwater isn't great, I get a lot of scale here, so we tend to use a lot of filtered water, especially where water get's heated up.

Re: My journey with IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome) and the rest of it
It seems crackers are now off the menu for some reason :( Also while I have been having soy based yoghurts because of my lactose intolerance, turns out these can actually ferment in your gut causing bloating and basically IBS symptoms. So soy is off the menu now as well. I'll not be able to eat bloody anything at this rate :(
Also my RSI pain has been really bad the past few weeks. I was battling it out with the AI about my hand issues and it says I have mixed issues of RSI, tendinitis, arthritis. But most fitting seems RSI.
I have come across these things.. While they're more of a sports/performance type concoction, they are supposed aid in muscle strength and repair etc. So I thought no harm in trying this stuff. Probably won't do anything..

I have started taking multivitamins and cod liver oil tablets again and I think they are actually helping a little bit.

Having to keep dealing with server related issues constantly is really not helping. I have not even been working the past few weeks either, but I am going to be busy for the next couple of weeks. So I will probably have to not be active on the forum for the next couple of weeks or so, as using a PC just becoming ever increasingly painful :( I have been waking up in the early hours of the morning in excruciating pain even though I have not really done much during the day. Of course it is affecting my sleep as well.An everyday blend of the essential amino acids — leucine, isoleucine, and valine, these naturally occur in protein, which helps to build and repair new muscle

Re: My journey with IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome) and the rest of it
Sometime later...
I started eating the crackers again and I don't seem to have any issues so far.. So maybe they were just difficult to dye guest while still having a iffy gut some other things ..
So now time for a rant for "Faith in nature" products.
I use Faith in nature products as they were, well, natural allegedly. I had been using them for the past few years without issues. "Off-the-shelf" Shampoo and shower gel always made me itch like crazy. When I would actually find a bottle I was happy with, you could guarantee that in a couple of months time the ingredients would have changed and they will be completely different and make me itch again!! It was just a vicious circle and it was frankly driving me nuts. Which is ultimately what led me to the faith in nature products. I have been happy with them for some years now.
I decided to bulk buy some 5L refill bottles. I got a "reasonable deal" from sellers who had it on offer on evil bay.. But I think there was a reason it was on offer...
So starting the new bottle of shampoo and shower gel I've been really itchy past few weeks and it has been driving me nuts.
My first observation was a few weeks ago that the shampoo did not really smell nice at all. I wondered if the smell had gone off because it was a 5L bottle or something. I thought maybe it had been sat around for a while and that was why the smell had deteriorated. But that does not seem to be the case. Secondly, aside from making my head itch, just seem to lather up like crazy. It also seemed more "runny" then the previous bottles which more more like gel, and not a thick liquid like it is now. Also I had been using a lot more of the shampoo and was struggling to get my hair clean. Before the shampoo would stay my hair for quite a while but the new stuff I can only really describe as watered-down and basically disappeared rather quickly. Adding more shampoo just seem to create a intense "lather bath" which was just ridiculous.
After some searches I came across this post...
So firstly this would seem to align with why there was a lot of offers on this stuff all the sudden...
I checked the bottles I have here. And I have the original recipe and the newer one for the shampoo. The 5L container was the new recipe which was causing my head to itch. I found a couple of the older bottles in the cupboard so I have started using those and I could tell right away that it just seemed a lot better product and that it wash my hair and the shampoo didn't vanish as quick.
I also use their laundry liquid but this does not seem to have the foaming agent in there which is understandable. But now if they are meddling with ingredients then it is unlikely I will go back and buy another 5L container again.
My mum also uses the fragrance free shower gel and I got her a 5L container a while back. That one is the original recipe as well.
Reading through some other posts..
I mean people use brands because they are reliable and they work. Probably the majority of people wouldn't even notice the difference. But this now irritates me literally and figuratively along with other people. Now faith in nature of let down their customers big time which is why am posting this on my forum.
Aside from them not responding to emails from others apparently, people have also witnessed them deleting bad reviews of their website. Nobody seems to know what the hell happened with the company, but maybe they have been taken over, and a new executive decided to mess with it all to increase profits.. Which is generally how it normally goes
TL;DR;
While I've been really happy with faith in nature products over the past few years , I now have to blacklist that brand because they have meddled with the ingredients and basically ruined the product for me.
