In any case, I have equal difficulties typing with Hatari's fast forward on in TOS 4 and EmuTOS. In other words: It doesn't feel different.

I don't know then. Indeed they are both faster because it is running on FF mode in Hatari. But I can still use TOS404 this way.

My only thought is simply that EMUTOS has a faster keyboard repeat rate than TOS404 making it unusable in FF mode.

Really does not matter that much anyway because I found I can turn off the keyboard repeat in Hatari earlier today.

And I was only saying that to me it is equally "borderline" usable, i.e., it get repeated key press events with both TOS 4 and EmuTOS:

Fully agreed! Though, I instead prefer to turn off "fast forward" momentarily when I want to type something. (AltGr+X toggles it off and on.)

For the sake of completeness.. I was literally pressing the keys in EMUTOS as fast as humanly possible...As you can see it is quite impossible to use. But on TOS404 it is perfectly usable and no repeats at all. (the 00 I actually pressed twice in 404 test)
