Hold up, was that your video then ?

Yeah....I'm working on my H5 phoenix board assembly and testing video next! Got a bunch of video already shot and am waiting on the MFP chip I just ordered.

For some reason (because I don't read thoroughly) I thought I could salvage one off my donor.

ah nice didn't know that channel was yours :)

You could early revisions but not the later ones. I moved to the PLCC type because it was intended for it to be fitted along with the sockets and everything else. Unfortunately, like most things, ended up in utter chaos. Basically the UK company now was using for assembly shutdown when Covid hit. But i basically gave up with them around that time anyway. Later revisions then I changed to a PLCC socket but the PLCC MFP remained.

Whisper it: thanks to Roger Burrows' work on the VDI, the EmuTOS development tree now has early support for truecolour modes.

This was the only thing that was preventing it being the go-to OS for DFB1, in my opinion.

Flash this bad boy into DFB1 (or the upper bank of DFB1X, for example) and you've a fully featured TT-RAM enabled accelerated Falcon with no additional drivers needed (it's still in development, of course).

Do I have to load any driver software or anything to enable the TT Ram?

Many thanks,

Simon

Yes, if using TOS404, no if using that emutos image above.

https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/DFB1X/

There's also a patched version of TOS404 kicking around on this forum that declares the memory automatically, but then you *must* be running a replacement VDI as the desktop will crash from the use of the blitter.

Quick question, has anybody had any conflicts between the DFB1 and the NetUSB device?

I've tried a couple of USB sticks but they don't get recognised at boot up, although I can see the drivers are loaded.

When booted I can launch the USB utility and see the NetUSBee Root Hub, but again not the device itself.

Same with HDDriver, so I can't partition a stick.

Looks like it's back to using floppies again for the moment!
