DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

STE536 mods to reflect what was done on the ST536 mods and new firmware.

https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last ... tm#2025MOD

Basically clock mods. I've done the mods to @Badwolf's STE536 (rev 4.5A) and its run GB6 for a hour.. Now its running YAARTTT.

EDIT:

OK that didn't work then, locked up after 2 passes.. So something needs a tweak somewhere.. but I wasn't running on 5.30V so that could may well be why.. more testing needed...

Voltage on the STE536 is 4.87V. So its to low for sure.

My voodoo ritual chicken sacrifice isn't scheduled until a week on Tuesday, but fingers crossed nonetheless.

@Badwolf STE is crazy by itself  I'm not sure if there's a bad connection on it somewhere or not.

If I use a SR98, set to anything from 5.00 to 5.40 V. The DMA seems to fail. It can't access floppy half the time and if it loads HDdriver, each time I press ESC to refresh C:, it alternates between showing contents and nothing at all
Then I used my own PSU, it works fine and that's 5.00 V. So I swapped back to the SR98, tried 5.00 and 5.25 and still fine :WTF:

So I did a "mod" to see if that sorts it out.

Could be a bad connection on the 68K socket. So will wipe that with IPA..

SR98 again, drive contents corrupted.. TOS error 35 trying to load GB6.. Swapped back to my PSU.. fine again...

I did resolder some stuff on the SR98 earlier as pressing down on the transformer caused it to go off.. I supposed the PSU could be bad still..

I wouldn't have thought the regulation being worse on the SR98 would cause such a huge issue.. It seems to work then not work so far..

Swapped back to my PSU several times and works fine.. Been recording this on my camera and might do a video on it at some point if the same thing keeps happening.

It's not something silly like a cracked floppy cable wire or something?

Done the mods except adding the additional caps as I've got to find some. Gembench works fine most times, but frontier won't load nor will prgflags to try changing the frontier TT ram settings.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

It wasn't but it is now and unfortunately, on the Mega, its made things worse. I'll try the H5 shortly. I now get a can't load RSC file when trying to load Gembench and everything else I get busy bee, new window, then returned to Tos screen.

EDIT:

And on the H5, things aren't much better unless I switch to Emutos, Gembench refuses to load with the same error as above.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
