This is something I've seen sellers do. Vendors selling multiple items of something put the prices up astronomically when they have sold out (rather than selling out). I can only assume it has some economical benefit for them (saves re-listing?) Check the vendors sales history, he's sold lots of PCI sound and gfx cards all sensible prices around £10 mark so this is almost certainly a technique rather than an expected price.HigashiJun wrote: 20 Mar 2025 23:56 Another one:

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: LOLPRICE
eBay rule change. A buyer protection fee is now added. So if a vendor lists something for a round number say £50k eBay automatically adds on the extra.
The maximum is (£0.75 + (£300*4%) + (£3700*2%)) = £86.75eBay wrote:The Buyer Protection fee is calculated as:
A flat fee of up to £0.75 per item, and
4% of the item price up to £300, and
2% of any portion of the item price from £300 to £4,000
All eBay listings made after this change have strange non-round values now. Listings made before the rule change are still round numbers.

@alexh
Of course. How could I forget the recently added 'buyer protection fee'?
I wonder, does the protection cover excessive markups by the seller? :lol:
