DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: LOLPRICE
I watch things with high prices to see if they fall to a lower price or see what they eventually sell for.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I always watch things with a ridiculous price too - it's nice to see if they sell, sometimes the seller contacts everyone with a 5% discounted offer for extra laughs. I hope they don't take it as a sign of genuine interest at that price (but I bet they do!)

I'd suggest that the seller has just listed it and is using that as a holding price and will update the price later, however if you take a look at their other items it's pretty clear that they are trying to sell at way above reasonable prices.
I can say, hand on heart, the stuff looks in very good condition, but even considering that, the prices are off the charts ridiculous. Some items do have coupons though...

Re: LOLPRICE
To be honest with you Jon, we gave away a C64C as a raffle prize at the last Cyberlegends that had contents in a much better condition than that.
I would say the item condition is the 'good' end of 'fair'. But thats MHO. :)
But for £3k (barring any special offer coupons; I noticed theres even games on his listings for £3.5k!) I would expect 'as new', in the original cellophane - hell, I'd probably demand that the original developer hand deliver it to me from the USA.

Yeah, those are collectors prices for unopened pieces, not used, however good the condition.mrbombermillzy wrote: 27 Aug 2024 21:46 To be honest with you Jon, we gave away a C64C as a raffle prize at the last Cyberlegends that had contents in a much better condition than that.

I'd want the computer and peripherals in mint condition as well as the game plus 3 nights in Vegas with spending money and a night out with the dev for those prices.

Re: LOLPRICE
@Darklord WTF?! This has to be the highest price yet, surely?
Theres more 'LOLPRICE' in his other auctions.
Most of his stuff is reasonably priced bricabrac...apart from the above and a few other bits.
Good examples being an obviously super 'rare' copy of DPaint 2* on the Amiga for $5k(!) along with an Epson EX-800 DM printer for $30k!
I would say you cant make this stuff up, but he certainly did just that with the pricing.
*=Irony. DPII on the Amiga is about as rare as a bag of frozen peas at the supermarket.
