It is actually out for delivery right now in Oregon, but may not arrive at the forwarder until 13:45 today US time, so I will keep my beady eye open for it!!

Ok, so the package arrived!!!

Next step was submitting my item for shipment, and that was simple enough, but my $25 item has now doubled in price!! Total fees to Amforward for shipping was around $29.

That was the cheapest method and could take anywhere between 2 & 6 weeks to arrive. Ho hum.

Prices were overall pretty expensive with some of the shipping charges as much as $75.

So, all I can do now is wait and see what happens. I strongly suspect that doing it this way is not the cheapest, though I expect a larger order may well make some sense.

I can swallow it for something I can't get elsewhere I suppose, and it doesn't mean I couldn't try another forwarder.

I believe it does, but the site isn't particularly clear on that.

As I understand it'll come as part of a larger shipment then it'll get dispersed on arrival here.

Well, it's actually shipped from the forwarder :)

Well, so far so good, it's moved 8 times from Portland OR via various points and has now arrived at Los Angeles, which from past experience is a global shipping hub.

So, it looks like it is at least moving in the postal system, let's see what happens next. I'm feeling mildly positive and don't care even if it does take 6 weeks.
