Allow me to react to the A3000 mention.
I've acquired an A3660 a few years ago and could never make it work on my A3000D, no matter how much tinkering we did with friends, including on another A3000 (and even after switching that 10/15ns capacitor thingy).
However, it did worked like a charm on a couple A4000s we also tested it with, so the card itself is fine.
My A3000 is therefore stuck with its faithful A3640.

So now although I'm vvverrryy interested in the TF4060, I'm also somewhat reluctant because of my unfortunate A3660 experience.

Could you maybe comment on the comparative complexity of developing hardware for the A3000 (compaired to the A4000), and how it might affect compatibility with the tf4060 ?
The TF4060 and A3660 both work fine in my A3000D. Other than the DMA there isn’t much difference.

As about 3660 - I've built some cards, timings on this card are really tight, so GALs used need to be 7ns (plcc20) & 10ns (plcc28)..
15ns will work, but only on a4000..

I would imagine that not many TF4060s will be produced. 060s are now stupidly difficult to get.

That said the builders have generally given people a grace period to try the card and return it if it doesnt work in their machine. They may do that this time.

Remember this isnt a commercial product and i'm not a manufacturer. So if it doesnt work its return, refund and apology.

For genuine Rev 6s for sure.

But I think LCs and fakes are still readily available and pulls will continue to be available for a while. I've got a few fakes marked as full Rev 6 that are actually fake LCs. Just needs people to have their expectations reset. Still much better than an 040.

FWIW, this eBay seller may be one of the last sources for them (a legit seller, at least for a number of Amiga users I know):

I ear you, but I see people still rush to buy 1200+ € 25 years old Cyberstorm cards and such, so I guess there is a market for A3/4000 accelerator boards, especially TF cards, which are much less expensive, even when you factor in the cpu cost.

My TF1260 cost me about 550€, Rev6 060 included, but my old Blizzard 1260 + scsi would probably fetch 8-900€, which is crazy if you ask me.

Are TF4060's on sale yet at builders?

I saw them previewed on Chucky's & Gadgets YouTube channels.

I'm not in a super rush for one but if the manufacturing window is small I'd like not to miss it.

No its not ready yet. its not actively being worked on right now either. it will be 7-9 weeks before i do any TF stuff again. except maybe a tiny bit of TFMSX stuff.

There is still very much a market for A3000/A4000 cards; I've been one of those people watching eBay like a hawk hoping to find a T-Rex II some day. But they are very rare, and if something fails on that card, good luck fixing it.

I'm now happily looking in the direction of the TF4060. :)
