DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

I think the solder is lead free , so if you reflowed with leaded solder then you might have made things a whole lot worse. You will need to remove all the solder and refit new sockets. If you reflowed with just flux you might be OK.alienkidmj12 wrote: 11 Sep 2021 16:59 tried reflowing the pins for all 4 chips under the psu, now i get a black screen on powerup :)

Re: Alienkid H5 C1 build
I've received the board today and have taken a look at it and so far I've had to rectify some dry joints, then found one of the legs on the GLUE was nearly broken off, nothing I can do with that so I've had to swap it to carry out further tests.
The DMA chip was quite dirty with flux etc and didn't make a good contact in the socket, I've fixed that.
So now we have a H5 that isn't halted but also doesn't want to boot TOS. I've found an issue with A0 and D0 earlier not pulling up to 5v and have fixed that.
So time to cary on with this stubborn H5.

If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Good finds and diagnostics so far @PhilC. Hopefully there will be another living H5 soon.

Re: Alienkid H5 C1 build
So the conclusion from tonight's fault finding.
Found lots more dry joints on the pcb and had to change one of the bus pullups.
It now boots to Tos1.04 but it's not happy with floppy drives at the moment. It will happily format 80 tracks but then fail right after when trying to do the track zero seek, it tries 3 times and then fails. So I will need to work on that tomorrow.
Whilst trying to get the floppy working I found that the DMA chip had also given up. So that's a new GLUE and DMA chip required.
I've tried booting to the diag cart but it just ignores the card and boots tos instead. So either a bad connection on that or the port has had it.
And the most annoying of all, the DS1315 clock chip appears to be a reprinted fake. The H5 won't boot at all with it inserted.
Floppy fault hunting tomorrow. @alienkidmj12 what would you like to do about the failed chips?
