A bit late to the game but here's some good advice on desoldering through hole ICs:
I removed the cartridge port of my donor board last week, took some time but the result was pretty OK with a desoldering station and hot air gun. Remember that the hot air gun might not heat up unless removed from the station.
I'll start my own H5C1 thread once I have some more parts and spare time.
Cheers
Tom

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

@alienkidmj12 - the brown wire in the pictures referenced is the HDINT line which goes to the ACSI pin 10. The best place to pick it up from is one of the ACSI headers.

Don't forget that you need to bridge the two middle holes underneath the right 3.3V BUS socket. The socket is covering it at the moment so I suggest to do it from the bottom side with a small wire or solder blob.
Just in case you forgot before you power it up for the first time. ;)
