I'm not sure exactly which revision it is right now as i closed the computer back up so i wouldn't lose anything while waiting for the new PSU to arrive. I'll post more info and some pictures next time i open it up.exxos wrote: 10 Dec 2021 20:06 What motherboard do you have exactly ? Sounds like you may have multiple faults going on there not just display related. So a new PSU will rule that out at least.

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

ah, the STF doesn't have the RF circuit or those capacitors. That was mostly relating to a sync faults on STFMs.android927 wrote: 10 Dec 2021 20:10 I'm not sure exactly which revision it is right now as i closed the computer back up so i wouldn't lose anything while waiting for the new PSU to arrive. Other than the power supply which is worth changing anyway. The only other thing is as said earlier in this thread, mine to sometimes do not like the output levels. So this could be down to the actual lead you are using. I assume you are using a RGB to SCART type cable ?

Re: Display fading to black
Strangely enough, it seems to be able to read disks just fine when i connect it to my SM124. It's only when using it in color mode that it seems to have an issue loading disks.
EDIT: Since i don't have a 15kHz color monitor, I'm using an RGB to VGA adapter connected to a scanline doubler. I do have another scanline doubler that connects via an RGB to SCART cable, but that one has a problem with it and i can only ever get audio output from it, no video. I discovered that when i plug the ST into the scanline doubler that uses the SCART connection, it boots from the disk just fine and i can hear the audio clearly, but obviously i can tell whether or not the video is working since i can't get any signal from that box anyway. I suspect that the disk loading issue might be down to an issue with my VGA adapter that is causing the ST to think it is in the wrong video mode.

There are so many scandoublers and so many things wrong with them I cannot really offer any advice because I just simply do not use them. I just go for a multisync monitor or RGB scart connection.android927 wrote: 10 Dec 2021 21:02 I'm using an RGB to VGA adapter, connected to a scanline doubler. Re: Display fading to black
Unfortunately, finding a monitor that can sync to 15kHz has proven difficult, and since the STF does not output composite sync on pin 2 like the STE i cannot use it with an RGBS SCART monitor (which would be difficult to find anyways since SCART wasn't as popular in America as it was in Europe).exxos wrote: 10 Dec 2021 21:29 There are so many scandoublers and so many things wrong with them I cannot really offer any advice because I just simply do not use them. Just add the sync to it, there is not much to it anyway (the bit in the dotted square)

I did consider that, but unfortunately i don't keep any electronic components whatsoever on hand so i would have to order them individually, and then i would still have to locate a monitor to use it with.exxos wrote: 10 Dec 2021 22:26 Just add the sync to it, there is not much to it anyway (the bit in the dotted square)
