Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
And off it went into production! This one should be tons of fun

Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
Rough filling and sanding..
"Only" body filler, sanding, more sanding, new cutouts and paint left

Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
Ooh. That's really low fit. Very nice placement.
Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
Rough cutouts for the ports done. A little bit of cleanup left to do and then get it ready for paint

Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
New stuff finally arrived from JLCPCB after having been stuck in Germany for way too long
Looking forward to building the new blitter board and getting the gfx card up and running but I started with the new rom board.
Finally my ST has a built in RTC!
The new one can optionally replicate the rom size jumpers for motherboards which don't have these, so it's a fairly nice companion to the old and new blitter boards.
I realise I'm in a minority fiddling with the short STM model but in case someone else finds it useful I will upload the gerbers and schematics once it has been tested to work correctly on a motherboard with no 256K/1M jumpers.

Looks good to me @agranlund and yourself know ill find it useful

If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
The Gerbers and Eagle files are now on Github (and your PCB's are in the hands of the postman, fingers crossed it works fine on your motherboardPhilC wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 2:09 pm Looks good to me @agranlund and yourself know ill find it useful![]()

STM owner here, I follow your projects with keen interest. Excellent work!agranlund wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 10:48 am I realise I'm in a minority fiddling with the short STM model but in case someone else finds it useful I will upload the gerbers and schematics once it has been tested to work correctly on a motherboard with no 256K/1M jumpers.
Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
I'm with you too @agranlund, I have a short model too and am watching with interest, in particular am waiting to see the Phoenix Sparkalaphobia (FPGA Blitter) running in a short once we get the board done.
