What You may try is another CF Adapter,
SD2ide works more reliable for me..

8 Bit Dreams wrote: 08 Jun 2020 06:12 that shouldn't be a problem - use pin stripes for 68k socket to rise your TF card higher, U really need to start from there, using any accelerator card in cpu slot may be a challengeon rev.4.x board..
Highly likely your issue is caused by CF Card, CF Adapter, ir long ide cable, have reported about same behavior numerous of times, was able to solve it with SD2ide..
Regsrds
I am using IDE2SD 8 bit Dreams, I think this is the reader you sold to ProPlum.. who sold it to me. It is a 4" cable. I have not tried a CF reader on this yet.

I did just this morning remove the IDE2SD and put the 2091 back in with the 100mb SCSI HD.. works GREAT! - So.. new reader? different reader? or will IDE be the issue period?

If I raise the card then the SLED holding the PSU and the Floppies will contact the board?????

About my observation on sd2ide. I have one 2GB card which is lightning fast 4mb+, but some 16gb SD will do 800kb, 1mb and up to 1.8mb with cpu fastrom.

I thought it worked great.. but major issues using the 2091.

It boots in about 20 secs.. which seems lightning fast (compared to 3mins)

But.. SYSinfo cannot find drives.. programs do not load from HD .. not good.

Nah... SCSI will not work, forget it,

Ah! You already own sd2ide, that's good,
Just try different SD card, since there are different ( 1-10 Class) devices..
Did you got a DVD with system Image file on it? Use WinImage no restore it on new sd card, and You'll be good

OH.. there was a DVD with it.. with the Amiga LOGO on the DVD?

I will look..

So I am using a Kingston CLASS 4 card 8gb. I only have that one SD.. I have many micro SD that I can put in adaptors? Do those work ok? and I have SANDISK cards.. Hight CL or lower CL better.. I have a bunch of Sandisk 2GB (should be lots for this machine) or Sandisk 16g CL10

Sure James,
You can use any micro SD+ Adapter, try something faster, like Class 8 or 10

And Yes, use an image file from DVD, it will help You to avoid fresh installation each time

Same with a 16gb Sandisk CL10 Ultra card (The 32gb was the same)

So the only thing the SDreader has been able to see so far is the 8gb Kingston card I have.
