Good to get additional brownie points, that's for sure :) Hope you both enjoyed your Dr Who :)JezC wrote: 11 Apr 2025 09:38 Another possibility @rubber_jonnie!
Didn't get chance last night as the dog started wailing so she had me watching another Dr Who episode with her while she settled herself for the night (in the lounge)...
Fortunately my good lady wife knew about it so I get some brownie points for comforting the dog rather than losing them for my retro activities!

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

She was dozing...it was one of the few I managed to watch when it was first broadcast but good to watch it in conjunction with the rest of the series this time round.

Re: Life, the universe & everything...Atari (well, mostly)
So, just in time for the long Easter weekend...and what looks to be some poorer weather (meaning I won't necessarily be n the garden for most of the time!) I have a new arrival...
It's the latest ST remake board version, the H5C5B.
I'll start a new thread about my (lack of) progress with this one, but initially I will probably end up borrowing many of the custom chips etc. from one of the H5C boards with a non-working floppy drive.
I've not even had chance to open the box yet!...

Ok, ok - I've opened the box & seen the warning about the audio op amp...
I'll start putting the parts I do have together in the morning and see what shortages will stop me assembling it for a first power-up (at some point)."Probably in 2027 or 2028"

@JezC would you like me to take a look at those H5s with the floppy problem?
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Cheeky! (but very funny too, so all is fine with me, though it might be ambitious to only give me 3 years to sort it)
:waiting:

Possibly, though I was wondering about bringing them down to CL4 as a fix-it challenge (and ask anybody with a working H5C if they could bring one as a reference)...then I gave in & ordered the new board anyway <facepalm>PhilC wrote: 15 Apr 2025 22:37 @JezC would you like me to take a look at those H5s with the floppy problem?
Thanks for the offer anyway, it's appreciated.
I might continue the discussion via PM if that's OK?
