Cool, thanks for the heads up, will try it tomorrow.PaulJ wrote: 09 May 2020 21:15 For those that are interested there's a new uiptool version 287 that has a ftp server that works with winscp which is pretty sweet for the windozes fans. Have tested it with netusbee so far. :)

At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: Projects and Stuff
Been using it with filezilla on the mac and uploading from the mac to the atari appears good but downloading from the atari appears to have issues. Never the less helpful.

Re:27C400 Emu Adaptor
I have had Eagle up and going again to make an adaptor for @cmorley 's 27c400 Emu so it can be plugged into one of the 68000 sockets on the H4. You will need a decode signal from one of Exxos's IDE boards, the Lightning card, or I presume his new decoder. I have to buy one of the new decoder boards.... maybe if I change the adaptor slightly I can just stack them and pick up the decode line. Anyway @rubber_jonnie I know you purchased a 27c400 emu and when it comes to hand crafting an adaptor board or doing GUN_FOOY there will not be an adaptor board in your future. So when the board arrives and I verify its operation I'll publish the gerber files so you can get some built. For OSH PARK its $18.15 for 3. Also I tweeked on @kodak80 's floppy reverser PC board and if its works I will provide those gerbers if functional and kodak80 has no complaints. Also there will be an adaptor that plugs into the mega-bus socket on a mega. Its really pretty sweet to have 8 boot and debug images on tap for immediate use not to mention being able to dump new TOS images down via USB on the MAC.

Re: Re:27C400 Emu Adaptor
Cool, thanks, I have an account with PCBWay, so will probably get some other stuff lined up, but I keep setting up ready to assemble the emulator, then I distracted by something else. This week I accidentally caused a power outage at home due to an accidental short with an Amstrad PSU. Thank god for UPSs to keep stuf going whilst Igo flip the breaker back. Also a bit distracted by the MSTE at the moment. Look forward to seeing the gerbers. I can pick up the decode from the IDE board.PaulJ wrote: 19 May 2020 14:57 I have had Eagle up and going again to make an adaptor for @cmorley 's 27c400 Emu so it can be plugged into one of the 68000 sockets on the H4. Re: Projects and Stuff
@rubber_jonnie , I saw your posts about upgrading your newly purchased MSTE with a HD floppy. I was going to look into that mod but the floppy that comes stock with the MSTE has the trapezoidal eject button. The HD floppy drives have the square button. Don't want to hack the case up so what am I missing here... is there a HD floppy with a trapazoidal eject button.. What am I missing RJ?

Re: Projects and Stuff
I only said I was planning the FPU upgrade, not the HD floppy, just that it was possible. I am certainly not cutting my lovely MSTE casework! I guess Atari may have made a HD floppy drive to fit, but they are probably rare as hens teeth and aprropriately expensive. Maybe it's possible to swap the front plate?PaulJ wrote: 19 May 2020 15:27 @rubber_jonnie , I saw your posts about upgrading your newly purchased MSTE with a HD floppy. Also, I have an external Gotek I can plug into it, and will be using a US or CosmosEx for HDD, so I don't really see the need for HD floppies. In terms of upgrades, I guess what you could do is add the HD floppy GAL and then add an external HD floppy.
Would it work? I don't know. Maybe worth a try though.

Re: Projects and Stuff
Ya, the MSTE is my favorite Atari. I've been looking into going HD with the floppy but couldn't find much. I guess Atari made some machines HD capable but they are extremely rare. It would be nice to see a picture so you could tell if they had a drive with a trapezoidal eject button or a case with a rectangular eject button. I'm surely not going to hack a hole in it like some mods I've seen. I have the Lightning card installed so I have a good Ethernet connection to the other machines so the floppy really isn't a must have but now with HD working on the H4's it would be nice to have everything consistent. Also the USB stick works great with the Lightning and the netusbee on the machines it works with so file transfers are easy. I'm like one Lightning ST card short of total fleet coverage. So @rubber_jonnie , if you find out how Atari did HD let me know. :)

@PaulJ: Have you already ordered the Cmorley/68k adapter boards? I would really like to buy 2 of them if you planning on getting a few extra?
EDIT: Missunderstanding.

@DoG I have one of his boards, just not had a chance to play with it yet.

Re: Projects and Stuff
I've got four of them. Made a hand crafted adaptor for the mega bus and the H4. They are working fine for me, hence I'm making the actual adaptor boards because the hand crafted adaptors look a little ruff and larger than needed. When I verify the H4 adaptor I'll post the gerbers and you can order as many as you like from your favorite pc board house. I'm going to do the mega adaptor next. You do need a decode source, if your only interested in 1.04 and lesser versions of TOS you can steal the decode from a rom socket, if you want to include TOS images that are larger and run from $e00000 you need a decode signal from Exxos's new decoder board, Exxos's IDE board, or from a Lightning card.. or you could roll your own.DoG wrote: 19 May 2020 17:45 Have you already ordered the Cmorley/68k-boards?
