Yep. There was a big Tandy just out of town , was great. There was a smaller Tandy where I took my electronics courses. Used to pop in sometimes on my lunch break. Kinda fell out with them though. They sold me a faulty midi cable and wouldn't exchange or refund as I ripped the packet open  never went back. But was more into CPC / MPS / Maplin later anyway. Or when I started my job the daily rummage though the scrap bins  My old boss still remembers when I first started I used to carry bags full of huge transformers a mile or so to the bus stop

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

The one I frequented was in Liverpool, but they had them in most of the larger nearby towns, a bit like Dixons, they seemed to be everywhere.exxos wrote: 25 Jun 2024 00:15Yep. The good thing about the Liverpool show was that it was just a short walk from the station I used to travel into, plus there was a Maplins a couple of doors down and a Beatties hobby store across from it too, so I had loads of places to visit all in one place.

Just arrived today, massive nostalgia boost:
It's in surprisingly good condition for something from the late 70s early 80s

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Stuff and Things.
I stumbled on a Facebook selling site called Vintage Computers for sale UK the other day, and found a chap called Peter Crossley with a bunch of Atari stuff for sale and managed to snag these two:
They've cleaned up pretty nice, just need to find the touch tablet software to fully test it's working.

Re: Stuff and Things.
I've been trying hard to find an Atari 800 for some time now, it's a bit of a grail machine for me. I also wanted to find an XEGS as I had one many years ago and to my chagrin, threw it out as I didn't have the chops to repair it at the time.
Well I missed out on a nice boxed 800 last night by £1.06 , but I got lucky this morning and have this fella on the way:
Nothing to fix, and it's well upgraded and includes a lot of stuff with it, so quite chipper after not getting the 800. I'm sure one will come along eventually and as my wife says, "If you get them all at once you'll have nothing to look forward to." :)
More pics when it arrives.
And yes, she is long suffering and I am very lucky to have her :)
