My uncle had one of those Intellivisions in the mid 80s.

I spent quite a bit of time on Snafu (a Tron cycles/snake clone), the official Tron game, where you wander around a maze and there was another game, sort of like the trench scene from Star Wars; cant in the life of me remember the name though.

Yeah, it wasnt a bad system.

I think the next time he bought a new game machine it was an STFM.
Quite the leap from Intellivision to STFM :)

You know what? I dont even know. I think my nostalgic memories are probably painting the machines graphics with a far higher fidelity than they actually were in real life.

Its a shame you cant make it down to the show Jon. Would have loved to have seen this in the fleash.

Yeah would have been great, the timing just doesn't work for me sadly.

Unfortunately not, but I don't remember whether I trade it for another machine or gave it to someone...

I remember playing Satellite Attack on it.

I then definitely switched to computers, as I was attracted by programming.

That's a shame, though a quick look on eBay shows prices are quite sensible at the moment, not that I'm trying to encourage you though...

I have flip flopped between computers and consoles a lot over the years, and now I'm a Mac user with games consoles :)

I always loved the concept, be nice to see what they've done on the Intellivision, but I have seen other games that are called 'Zaxxon' which simply don't look much like the original.

We'll soon see :)

I might pop the 800XL on today and see how it looks on that :)

I am also a Mac user with modern game consoles (Xbox, Switch, PS and other).

When I look back at the stuff I had (and got rid of), I think I could live a better life selling all that fancy stuff on Evil Bay...

IMHO, the Videopac was a quite nice console at its time but I would really not bother buying one now.
