Just want to add my 2cents - chaps name on Sellmyretro is Rich Mellor, knowing him and used his services for at least 13 years, always got an excellent quality products. He is very kind person, so may be worth to ask him what can be wrong with this membrane

I had the idea a while back to make a thin pcb that slots in to the connector to act as a buffer, so you can save the wear on those crappy membranes.
I don't suppose anyone knows if a .4mm board will insert?

That little header board is what I was talking about earlier. Do you sell them? Would save wear and tear on the membrane when constantly removing the keyboard.

More permanent fix, and choose the way your keyboard feels by selecting the right switches:

This is the third revision of A1200 PCBs and I'm happy with it. Connects to A1200 mainboard with a 32-way ribbon cable and connector, these are still available from Mouse Electronics. All you have to do is trim off one of the connectors carefully with scissors. Mounts inside the A1200 case with 3D-printed rails.
