New webstore URL (BETA TESTING)

I got a email from stripe, they are basically "moaning" because I have a few payments going via their SCA system, then the past several payments have gone via my old store.

Unfortunately, people seem to be either ignoring, or unwilling to try out the new store, even though it mentions to them to do this right at the top of my old store in a big red box :roll:

So my old store will be taken down at some point over Christmas, and it will just redirect to the new web store URL. I think doing this over Christmas is probably good as orders will likely dwindle down to nothing over this time, and the next few weeks most likely. So if there are any problems I don't have a influx of orders & problems to deal with all at once. I am not looking to do any more changes or programming to the store, I just don't have time for starters. I did want to add a few more backend changes but nothing critical. The important thing is that people are able to actually purchase items.

So far I do not see any issues with orders which have used the new store already. The most likely one to appear is that I am likely to forget to add the weight into the database of new items added to my store, and the store will reject the order saying it is too heavy (as I put 9999g in for the default weight in the database).

It seems there has been in a bug in the store :( Where if for example someone ordered 1 item, it would take that item off stock as expected. But if ordering 5 items, it was only updating the database on 3 :roll: I found this to be a typo in the script, so I have just fixed that.. BUT..

I may have to take my store offline at some point this week while we do a total stock check again to update the database :roll: That normally takes 2 full days :(

Meanwhile some orders may be delayed if items ordered are actually out of stock.. in general items showing more than 5 in stock might be ok if only ordering 1.. its possible 5 items showing there may only be 2 for example..

Web store will be going off-line tomorrow about mid-day (25th feb) While stock check is done, the store will go back online when Completed.. This will likely take several hours and may not be finished in a single day .

I've had to take my store offline as there is some postage bug which has just started. I can't access the server for a few days to look into it :(

I'm doing some "minor" script changes to my store today.. likely I will break something, so people will just have to let me know...

Store changes are now done, this was all backend stuff.. I noticed some script errors in my log which I hopefully have just fixed as well..

Need someone to order something now to see how broken it now is :lol: :ball: :fire: :fire:
