It was a strange experience for me, people were simply saying "update the firmware, follow the guides" but there were a lot of silly little details left out. Just enough information left out to create annoying speed bumps along the way.
Which details? Update the guides.matt020 wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 1:55 pmIt was a strange experience for me, people were simply saying "update the firmware, follow the guides" but there were a lot of silly little details left out. The reason i dont like putting other guides inside a guide is because then two guides need updated if something changes.thairacer wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 2:29 pm i will put some details tonight, at work now and do a simplest version for the french cd32 users .
Downloading files from the Github the correct way for example. That a right click and "save as" was not saving the actual file from the Github.terriblefire wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 2:02 pmWhich details? Most people don't download individual files from github. They either clone a repo or download the whole repo thing as a zip.matt020 wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2020 2:19 amDownloading files from the Github the correct way for example. Can you ping 192.168.240.1 ?Higgy wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2020 8:23 am Trying to get this working on my TF360.
I get showNetstatus reporting the correct info from the 'Getting the CD32 online' Guide. But then with the Telnet stage it times out on connecting when I try to connect 192.168.240.1,7777
I installed Roadshow demo, I guess it is running in the background as I am just then running the Telnet to connect once in Workbench.
I know there were 2 parts of the ESP Firmware to install. Would showNetstatus give me correct info if i flashed 2nd part of Firmware to wrong address for example? I used NodeMCU, Windows and a serial to USB that has 3.3v to flash.
Cheers
