That relocator *looks* like it wont move the CPU far enough. methinks you'll still be clipping that cap ... just... if it doesnt work maybe you can get the sources and tweak it a bit... it wont need to move far.

I have a board file from Eagle for a similar relocator id bedn working on for the ST. Let me know and I can send it if you need it.

Yes, the ST?? version that 8BitDreams was discussing won't move the 536 far enough. I've revised the design again and done another version which is just a straight run with a hole for cap C163.
This one has the advantage of being under 100mm wide so it will be cheaper to manufacture.
The plastic part of the male pin headers are 4mm high. the CDTV 68000 socket gives an additional 4mm approx above the motherboard so:
68000 socket -> 4mm
Male pin header from relocator into the 68000 socket -> 4mm
Thickness of relocator board -> 1.6mm
Male pin header between relocator and TF536 -> 4mm
When using male headers between boards they don't quite sit flush with the PCB on one side so that will give an extra ~0.5mm.
So the total height of the 536 above the CDTV motherboard will be roughly 14mm. This is more than enough to clear Cap C163 height wise.
Adding another 1.6mm for the TF536 board and 4mm for the unsocketed ceramic 68030 ( The plastic ones look to be the same ) we get a total of 19.6mm from the surface of the CDTV motherboard to the highest point of the TF536.
This, as far as I can tell is within +/- 1mm of the height of the lid above the motherboard. The lid will close but will probably be resting on the 68030. Not ideal but not a disaster either. Obviously this old CDTV isn't exactly factory spec so things might have moved around a bit to mess up my measurements. But we'll give it a go.

Ha, JLCPCB are not usually that bad. Even with the super budget economy postage option they usually arrive within two weeks from completed production. Also, a production run of 10 of these relocators should be more than enough to cover the entire worldwide CDTV community
