exxos blog - random goings on
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
The new sockets I have, have metal latches, so I am going to change them later if I get chance. The plastic latches are useless when new, never mind after changing the simms a few times.

Re: exxos blog - random goings on
I'm sure you can file it down a bit to get a rectangular profile on the pins & then force it into a wall socket

Is that the last of your stash of unpopulated H4 boards?
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
Theres a thought! I got a adapter cable I made agesss ago... Just have to make sure I dont use anything else on the socket at the same time elseJezC wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 10:23 pm I'm sure you can file it down a bit to get a rectangular profile on the pins & then force it into a wall socket![]()

Yeah, I kept one back as its useful to have a blank board.
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
The big IR ovens we use in our production facility at work for our SMT assembly are switching so much load on & off the mains that they used to affect the voltage & frequency from the pole transformer.
Then we added the fourth surface mount line & had to get a 1MW ground-mounted transformer instead...now the voltage & frequency are much more stable.
I dread to think what will happen to the instantaneous power factor on your mains when that is switching the lamps on & off!

Still trying to decide if I need an oven as well as everything else I've already got
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
Just as long as it doesn't make that awful burnt FR4 smell
