I can't make it any brighter . my monitor saturated with anything more. The brightened voltages are right on the limits already.

I'll play around with the OSSC a bit and see how much better I can get. Just wanted to check in with you before I jumped in.

I dont know what the OSSC does, possible that is to bright ?

I don't know which ones of the VGA adapters you got, the very early ones were to dark, but the production run in my store now used a different chip than the original ones.

Looking at the image its version V4A must have been the release version.

Chip is a TS5V330. No big deal though. I was able to get acceptable results by adjusting the monitor (nothing the OSSC can do to help). It does require setting the brightness and contrast higher than typical, but for a dedicated display, this isn't a problem. This just all came as a surprise since I've never used anything other than a straight through cable before.

Built this in 2014 Never used the thing. Was going to run my server on it, but after working out electric costs over the year vs a hosted server I changed my mind IIRC it was really low power like 20watts as well, but over the year it adds up.

I've been looking at getting another PCB oven for the past week, and even a larger one. Though prices on aliexpress seemed to have rocketed up in price, like £200 price bump I saw this one and just brought it.

This one is large enough to fit a H4 into it. As I need to make 75 PSU's up, and the PCBs are pretty large, I can only do 2 maximum in my current oven at a time. At about 10mins a cycle even loading it constantly will take all day. But things dont happen that quick in real life, with all the distractions I get each day it would probably end up taking 1-2 weeks. Plus the pasted PCBs really needs to go in the oven right away.

So another big outlay. But I hope this will help speed up things as I just don't have time to keep messing about. I hope it will speed up the STE SIMMs as well as I can only fit 8 in the oven at a time. Will also see if I can kit out another STE with a booster to aid in speeding up testing of them as well.

13A. Though the heater isn't on 100% of the time. Not sure what cable rating I used in my workshop for the sockets though I guess if it starts smoking I should probably change it

Thats an interesting question @DoG years ago all our extension leads etc were 13A in the UK but I have notice all newer ones are 10A, you have to go hunting for any 13A leads these days.

I've noticed that to @Icky will probably just have to use a adapter and plug the oven direct into the wall. My workshop sockets I put in I only assumed light loads.. Heavy loads went in another socket, but my UPSU is in that socket now powering my bedroom

@derkom , I've had an OSSC for over a year and have it dedicated to my MSTE. I've tried the Best video cable with it, the ube, and Exxos's latest 8 pound adaptor with the jumper to set the resolution. The Exxos 8 pound adaptor gives the best presentation hands down. The Best cable it the worst by far, the ube gets confused what resolution its in and has a darker presentation while the Exxos's 8 pounder gives a great presentation, that is in the color resolutions. High resolution is a pain in the arse getting the OSSC to provide a centered screen with a good presentation. Milage may vary but it is nice to use a HDMI monitor.
