DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Excellent! Now since you can start using your new scope, I am very curious if your old scope was indeed lying to you or not :)exxos wrote: 05 Feb 2026 15:26 Its fine, the one I ordered was when I found that first video your posted earlier :)

Been trying to do some desoldering and the gun was not working
After some disassembly...
Somehow flux has gone down the pipe and blocked it up totally  been trying to unblock it with a old wire coat hanger but not having much luck :( left to find some new hose

You might want to check the actuall vacuum pump in case it got down there. I presume you're using 2 filters, one behind the receptacle on the gun and one at the other end where the hose connects to the base unit?
Your pump may have flux in it too if you're not.

The flux seems to have only got about a foot down the tube. Its got filters both ends..rubber_jonnie wrote: 05 Feb 2026 17:00 You might want to check the actuall vacuum pump in case it got down there. Any idea what the hose is , maybe silicon ?
I will just cut a foot off it for now so I can still use the thing.

I reckon you can replace it with silicone but it'd need thick walls so the vacuum doesn't collapse the pipe.

Yeah, I think the pipe has "shrunk" as its measurements make no sense. I measure about 3.5mm internal, 7mm external. But the barbs are 5mm on the smallest point.rubber_jonnie wrote: 05 Feb 2026 18:35 I reckon you can replace it with silicone but it'd need thick walls so the vacuum doesn't collapse the pipe.
I just order this. 4x8mm . The wall should be thicker and the ID will be a tiny bit larger than I have now.
I went for clear so I can keep an eye on what's going though the hose. I do keep changing the filters, but visually being able to see it building up will be a great advantage.

Must admit I replaced my whole gun last year, the damn thing wouldn't heat up, only £25 and it came with a new hose. Saying that I do see some evidence of flux getting to the larger filter where it connects to the base station.exxos wrote: 06 Feb 2026 10:53 Yeah, I think the pipe has "shrunk" as its measurements make no sense. I don't see the base station filter with flux build up. It only seems to have got half way down the hose. So I just cut it in half as I needed to use it.rubber_jonnie wrote: 06 Feb 2026 11:06 Must admit I replaced my whole gun last year, the damn thing wouldn't heat up, only £25 and it came with a new hose. I was half thinking that I wonder if a fuel filter or something could be hacked on the base station somehow to at least give it some protection.
