I hate these printers so much!!
I'm having weird Z-axis issues again.. I always do a home before "printing".. And for no reason at all, it seems to think 8mm above the bed is 10mm.... Like I could be printing all day with 8mm height.. Then all of a sudden there will be a 2 mm gap... So I will repeatedly lower the height down to 6mm to get it correct again.. then it will decide to crash into the bed as its now decided its 2mm to low !!! You literally cannot win with these things!! I had all this BS before with the BIQU printer. It's like the home sensor doesn't work properly half the time. I've wiggled all the wires about, but it's all just taking way longer than it should (again).

DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

So now the right-hand side of the bed which was about 0.38mm "out" compared to the left side has magically corrected itself.. I think this is the problem when the X-axis is only driven by one side
Managed to adjust the angle of the panel on the bed so it's basically 99% "straight" now.
I also think the x-axis hasn't been calibrated (can't remember if its done or even possible) as the 2.54mm grid doesn't aline with the simm tabs properly. So that caused some confusion.
Also it seems something was caching the gcode on the server
The timestamp would update every time but the file contents wasn't updating in real-time.. So I was making adjustments to the Gcode, trying a new print, then adjusting again, then wondering why nothing seems the working properly, and then the head would jump like an inch across the board because the amount of times I have changed the X-axis start point
So as of right now, it looks all working properly but out of time for today now
won't have time tomorrow.. No doubt the gremlins will come in and hit the printer with a sledgehammer several times meanwhile, because when I get back to it on Thursday, I can pretty much guarantee everything will be out of whack again!

It seems my scoring needle has now gone blunt because I am getting nowhere fast now
So I had to find a new metalwork guy and go back to my original idea of making a special "cutting nozzle".
I sent out several messages and basically only one person bothered to reply, and he replied very quickly! I kid you not within a couple of hours of discussion the guy had created exactly what I was looking for and got them shipped out all within a few hours of my initial contact!
So hopefully these will work a lot better and I should be out to fit on Monday...

New nozzles came
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
So that was a fail
Or they are either not sharp enough for incredibly soft that they basically don't do anything.
So I looked around and managed to find a CNC milling bit with a 4mm shaft. The printhead metal tubey bit was 4.2mm internal.. so close enough. I couldn't get the shaft out of the heat to block so I found another one in my bits box.. Which turned out to be 1 mm wider than the original one
so in order not to hold things up even longer, I just drilled the printhead assembly block so I can fit the slightly larger tube in. Then superglued the CNC bit in the tube bit...
Now to recalibrate my Z-axis again...

Selectable SIL's now in my basket
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
For those who "like" to do PCB traces with right angles rather than putting a bit of effort into layout..
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
New PSU builds getting there slowly! These are being built in the UK right now!
Re: exxos blog - random goings on
One of the biggest problems I have is not being able to type very much because of my RSI, and the fact that I know pretty much zero these days about assembly code. My initial attempts at using AI didn't go well.. But this time....
