Seems any Anycubic on evil bay must have used webp images as they are now blocked.

Not really an issue because I can always look at images on my tablet or Linux anyway. I guess you cannot really assume that there aren't any "infected" images on evilbay. So definitely would not trust it as an exception! I really don't see the point in the format anyway. Also seems to have now made simple images more complicated and introduced new security problems.

I keep seeing all sorts of articles on hack-a-day ,but I've never seen any mention of anything I have done whether it be Atari related or otherwise :(

So I found there is a way to submit articles. Things like the remake project and some other random things on my website as well to see if it gets any mention.

It will probably end up being one of those things I regret doing but oh well. We do really need more publicity in the land somewhere and maybe submitting articles may generate some more interest.

I have said before , a lot of important work has been done over 30 years and more so since the remake projects and they never seem to get mentioned anywhere mainstream. Often think while every other platform gets publicity, we never seem to exist in the land of retro computing anywhere :(

It's always seems like every other computer in the world gets mentioned ,videos done etc, but Ataris just seems to be something totally forgotten and ignored mainstream.

As I said a few weeks back I have left a lot of youtube channels because I was just simply sick and tired of everything being commodore / Amiga related all the time. It is not like I dislike any of the machines, I like the commodore 64 and spectrum machines also as I grew up with them of sorts. But as people know my main area focus is Atari.

The work this community does really does deserve a lot wider audience and a lot more recognition around the world than it is currently getting in my opinion.

I know exactly what you mean - it's hard to even get the Atari 'community' itself to be excited by anything Atari related. Just look at PiStorm, massively supported in Amiga-land but like a barren wasteland in Atari-land. Another thing that frustrates me a little is when decent youtubers come along, doing Atari content, but then don't seem to cover any Atari community innovations/work - for instance ctrl-alt-rees. I've often mentioned to him about the things going on in this Forum, like the H5, Cyberlegends etc, but he just doesn't seem the least bit interested. It would be nice if he'd support innovative Atari projects, help spread the word etc. I mean, if you're an Atari-centric youtuber, why wouldn't you? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Totally agree Steve.

I just don't really understand why people seem to totally avoid Atari machines. They deserve to be mentioned and talked about as much as any other retro computer and yet they seem to be always forgotten and ignored which is really bizarre.

Indeed we have a total lack of developers these days. I've talked about it before. It's one reason I've had to abandon many projects, mostly lack of interest or help developing. I try to help people as much as I can but I'm struggling to keep up with my store problems and don't have time for development anymore.

I mean yes, this community has done a lot of great things over the years and it is like none of it even exists. Every retro channel out there should be keeping on top of the news and current events, reporting on it and helping others to keep the community going but it just does not happen. It's like they turn their nose up at Atari machines or simply cannot be bothered.

I mean I've seen many channels talking about Amiga stuff and terriblefires upgrades etc. Frankly just got repetitive in the end. But none even mentioned my Atari port of the 536. Or any of my stuff for that matter.

As people know I have been supporting Atari for the past three decades now and it's like I don't even exist. Occasionally I do my rounds like today, Ill post some random links for stuff which I think is important. But it's like I'm shouting into a black void. At some point you just have to call it quits and give up. I've been there or the past couple of years now.

I do get regular sales in my store, nothing huge really, so it's not like people are not using the machines. There was, I said before ,I think the power of the internet and the abuse side of things has made a lot of people keep quiet these days. What is really inexcusable that retro channels seem to completely ignore the Atari machines.

Of course I seriously don't want to discourage anyone from developing for the platform. But I have said for years, I think we are basically fighting a losing battle at this point. I think wrapping up current hardware projects and concentrating on software preservation side of things like the wiki is the only thing left which should be done now.

Well you know how it is, if one wants interesting content on the net about something and there is nothing, one should do it oneself. That reminds me that I have to edit and push my video session of remaking the ST... Now that I succeeded in generating a DVI signal through the HDMI port of my FPGA board, I can switch back to retro stuff soon.

I would if I had time / motivation / health , but I don't. I've got like a 10 year backlog of work to do yet. As said before, I'm working to retire rather than start more big projects. 30 years in electronics/ computing / Atari stuff, I think I've given enough. I just want to do something else these days.

This ALWAYS happens with China people... I just don't even bother replying to such emails any more. I mean it mentions at least FOUR TIMES in the email how many I want a quote for.

There are some stuff out there if you got the patience and like gambling on losing huge sums of money.

It’s worse than that Steve, it looks like a 3D rendered version of it.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
