The i3, which has been a thorn in my side ever since was built, is now no more. R.I.Pieces

Pretty much the only thing worth saving is the nuts and bolts on this thing.

My big tree board just arrived...

I inserted the driver modules which I purchased separately.. They all came very well packaged in their own little boxes. In fact the board box is very strong. I think you could run over it in your car and it would survive! So lets hope their electronics is a little bit better than their mechanical side of things!

Will just hookup power and a single motor up to this thing to try it out before going any further..

First test run.

Chair gripping on the edge stuff is this!

If anything it proves that the motor is now running smoothly, and exxos is not a dumb idiot who can't wire up a motor.

These drivers seem to live up to their name as the motor is silent as far as I can tell. If anyone is bothered to check out the previous motor video it gets rather loud!

So goodbye smoothieboard / not a smoothie board / Counterfeit smoothie board. Thanks for wasting the past few weeks of my life.

I'm sure I mentioned BTT about 30 pages or so ago  :chairsmack:

Did you get your free riubber duck?

I don't have the octopus board but am using the SKR v1.4 on my CR10, I needed to edit the firmware but after that and editing the setting I can almost just press print and go.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Yep. Girlfriend wanted it, but I gave it to the cat who lost it within 30 seconds. We looked everywhere and it has just disappeared into the black hole. So let the girlfriend have this one this time.

Cool. I'm trying to avoid the whole edit firmware thing. I have to make my Z-axis motor run backwards for the FF printer. So I just screw around with it until it did just that. No firmware edits needed

It is big enough for me and Dawn to fit in ? Or one single cat.

@PhilC what does Marlin default to do you know ? I don't think I set the bed size in the other board even. I guess that could explain why the printer sometimes tries to destroy itself..I don't have end stops switches on this printer :(

EDIT:

Dammit, I need to invert the end stop switches

XYZ endstops inverting would be a start. As long as the bed is larger than 300x200 then it shouldn't mess up. I'm not sure what my bed is really classed as , as it homes way outside of the actual bed area
