For some reason I ended up designing a video adapter board today. This is not as high-tech as the UBE video adapter, but a stripped down "no frills" (aka cheap) simplified version. It will still do colour and mono, the selection is done by a simple jumper link. It has a audio out connector, It is a through-hole part and should be more sturdy than the SMT ones. This one has a metal "wrap" around the body which sold as to the board, so the sockets I plan to use are probably as substantial as they can be.
This adapter has the VGA connector higher up than other adapters. This was done as it should fit the MEGA ST better ( assuming the connectors are actually in use either side of the board) it may not be ideal in all circumstances,But at least for my use it would actually be better this way.

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: exxos blog - random goings on
Progress :)
I have just noticed the back of the bracket where the switches, is actually set back a couple of millimetres, so I will have to fix that next...
EDIT:
Printed out on paper to check the holes and did some tweaks.. also fixed the switch area.. so really its ready for a test print :)
EDIT2:
Almost 5 hours to print this at 0.2mm    Have to wait until next week I think now...

Re: exxos blog - random goings on
3.5hours print time ... I took the bracket layer height down 2mm (was 6mm) and saved a lot of time...
Its now printing, but I've not printed anything this large yet, so probably will fail after not long anyway :P

73% so far...
All the time seems to be going on the hexagons in the middle  I might try the next print and remove them totally.. or just put 3 or 4 diagonal supports in the middle instead..
