Well the new desk allowed me to update the QL with the vMap board and give it a bit of a clean. Bought the vMap and vDriveQL before the house move and never had space to sort stuff out. vDriveQL is a really cool piece of kit and works well.

Icky Projects
Re: Icky Projects
Getting the desk into some sort of workbench however I started patching the wall too. I can never do one project at a time.

Nice, you're definitely getting there
As for vMap, it's a fiddly bugger isn't it?

Yes, good design to get it to do what it does but the wires are thin and fiddly as you say @rubber_jonnierubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 12:34 am Nice, you're definitely getting there

Re: Icky Projects
Getting there @Icky. My QL is on the bench, just about to swap some of the 7805s over for some MP-K7805-500R3 that I bought a little while back. I should be able to ditch the heat sink etc.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: Icky Projects
@Icky that's because I've only just thought of it but I'm sure others have done it with similar regulators
It's only rated at 500ma though so I've got to check the current draw of the 7805 on the heat sink first as they will supply up to 1500ma but the micro drives etc I'd be surprised if they draw more than half an amp.

New arrival this morning, Enterprise keyboard membrane. I finally got a chance to test the Enterprise it works apart from the half the keys and the membrane was shot so put in an order.
