The ROM only checks for CAFE not the COCA...

@alenppc can you check address $B80000 on the ReV0 please with DiagROM?
Sure, but I don't know if I can get round to it before this weekend.

No worries. I suspect we will see C0C0CAFE for a rev0.

I’ll maybe slap together a tool to check.

Currently checking all CD32s that I currently have access to [4] for the revision 0 chip. I have a CD32 diagrom sitting here should I stumble across one.

Will update later on.

Here is a program i knocked up to check Akiko revision.

https://github.com/terriblefire/terribl ... takiko.zip

Its in ADF and Exec form. Simply run the testakiko binary in AmigaOS (no WB needs loaded)

I just bast...ized Akira`s systest iso and put testakiko on it, tested and it works.

Just unzip the attatched file burn the iso, then cd at the prompt it will show CDTV_test dir, then just type testakiko hit Return and it will show what version you have

Very odd that CBM didnt have a different verison for the chip. They were usually good at this sort of thing.

Consoldering the CD32 was hastily built as a company saviour they probably didn’t do the usual diligence. Maybe it’s not possible to detect different revisions via software.
