Nice! You guys need to leave it running my crappy tester program as well. It will run for hours but it does pickup on reliability issues.

Obviously things are working well with the spread of cards, other than Phil who managed to break it, but we need reliability tests doing as well. As mentioned before, they can error at random anywhere in a 3 or 4 hour window... Or even after a few moments. Copying lots of files about of all sizes is also a good test. But the most errors in have seen is with my crappy tester program.

Ok, now I have a bunch of working disks/cards, next up I will try some reliability testing :)

What is the best tool on the ST to do the relaibility testing? (I did look back through the thread but I can't see any links to a tool. It's late and I'm tired to be fair.)

EDIT - 00:55 29/04 - Wait, I just found mention of rateHD.prg, so I will use that.

I was also planning on running up xferrate with the different devices, see what speeds were getting for them.

Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Thats not my tool. The one smonsons did , for some odd reason, didnt find the errors as reliable as mine :shrug:
