DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Some Atari Porn for @JezC. Here she is, just fetched off the shelf for a quick test-drive.

All working well. I really should do something about the crack in the side of the case at some point but it adds character. I might plastic weld it inside but leave it showing as a crack.

@rubber_jonnie you are right, it does do the attract mode. I'd just never left it alone long enough to do it before.

Crikey @JezC . If its a case of winning the lottery preventing you from these machines, I have a close definition of 'an Archie of some sort' I can bring to CL4 for you. :)

I've read your messages of woe...but being the successor of the Beeb and ancestor of the Arm devices we use everywhere makes it special

I can get why you want one for sure and it is very rewarding to have fixed mine multiple times and got a handle on the OS some more.

Whilst the forum was down yesterday, id got on with my Mega ST & ST536 crash issues. Basically it would get to desktop most of the time and then lock up.

So just to double check id plugged it all in just to see if it still misbehaved, in case it was a dodgy CPU or something similar. It still crashed as before.

So with the Mega being probably the most unreliable of the ST line (in my opinion anyway). It comes with a slightly different speed oscillator, 32.04245Mhz, compared to the 32.084988Mhz used in other STs. So first order of the day was to swap over the oscillator for the 32.08 variety and see what the difference was.

So after carrying out the oscillator change I booted up the Mega ST and it's been incredibly reliable, getting to desktop, playing the frontier demo and running loops of GB6 all afternoon. In fact to try and break it even further I tried it with the Pico HDD and even that works.

So just to see if I can now get the Pico HDD set up internally, instead of externally and to get my X2 GS Dreamweaver module reconnected.

I might finally be able to put my Mega ST motherboard back in to it's casd finally.

Great progress with that @PhilC - is that the BBAN SD HDD adapter connected in there as well? Nice...
