DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

So a bit of a break from fixing computers. @rubber_jonnie had me interested in CRT TVs after not getting a great signal on one of his projects, so I decided to do a bit of Googling and ebaying and found a 4” mini crt for less than £20.
It actually peaked my interest because of the way is the CRT worked, essentially like one of those projection TVs maybe? The tube fires in at the bottom but displays a reasonable picture on the front, you’ll see what I mean in just a mo.
So a couple of pots, phono socket, power socket, bits a wire, a 12VDC power supply and a C64 later, we have:

If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

More legible than trying to use a Sinclair flat screen telly.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I seem to recall Adrian Black looked a a similar CRT not so long ago, I think he may have had a zap from the anode too!!!

Yes I’ve found his video but not watched it yet. I’m hoping not to have to venture close enough to get too many zapsrubber_jonnie wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 11:48 pm That's a neat little thing, looks a lot smaller than my 5.5" B&W.

Re: PhilCs blog / the latest things hes broken(fixed)
I watched Adrians video about this screen and it was quite informative, especially about picture adjustment, which I shall try out later on.
Oh and I've seen which bit not to remove, unless you like getting electric shocks
