It does seem to work fine. It was running a demo compilation disk for about an hour with the TF330 off.
Not sure about which version I have though. All I know for 100% is that it DOES have the burst mode feature (makes almost 10 mips in sysinfo).

not sure. I have a pal cd32, made in aug '93. I think that's a very typical prod date.
cpu on the TF330 is a full 68030rc50 though, that replaced an ec030rp40 that crashed quite often with the rev3 fw and no heatsink. the full 030 seems stable and lukewarm max.
the issue could be entirely independent of cpu, dont know.

Yes, it's intermittent, that's what makes it tough to spot. I made another thread about this bug. Stephen will attempt to fix this in the firmware.

Hello all. I was trying to get an external switch working on the clock buffer with my TF328 and could not seem to make it work. Whenever i turn it to the middle of the three to turn off it just halts. The other two postilions work fine (clock on/clock-off). I even tried just a wire extension with the jumper cap. In short it seems if anything is connected at all you cant make the CD32 boot into non TF28 mode (goes into a halt state). If I remove the switch/jumper it works just fine and defaults to normal CD32 mode. Is there a reason for this? I tested with my multi-meter and everything seemed fine with continuity etc...

Just take the connector off the first pin and leave the two connected to the `Clock Buffer` connected it should work then , we do not really run `Unbuffered ` :)

Yes, the problem is you connected all three pins. You need to connect just the first two. Closed: enabled, open: disabled.

Hi,

I have a question, where can I get the latest firmware for mt TF330 R3 card? I assume these cards get flashed by the builder with various firmware versions. The latest GitHub firmware I can find does not resolve the issue > tf330_2019_02_28_alpha.zip

I have two cards, the most recently bought lets me boot CD32 Games when the card is disabled (Jumper removed). The older Rev 3 will not. I get the CD32 intro screen and music but the CD never gets accessed. The only way to have the CD boot is to have the card enabled. This of course, can cause compatibility issues.
