DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Awesome.For.Sure
Collector of many retro things!
800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Thing is, I can't see any of the cars. Its like the whole screen is like 50% darker than it should be. So I need to work out whats gone wrong there. Probably slight bias issue on the RGB drivers
Re: exxos finally in the game!
Looking good to me still. Well done.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Great game. Always makes me chuckle seeing your pink monitorexxos wrote: Fri Oct 19, 2018 1:09 pm Thing is, I can't see any of the cars. Its like the whole screen is like 50% darker than it should be. So I need to work out whats gone wrong there. Probably slight bias issue on the RGB drivers![]()
This may be why I ended up reducing the RGB resistor values when sorting out my monitor cable.
Re: exxos finally in the game!
I took out the 3 diodes in the RGB lines, (ups the voltage).. now I have a proper image, but now to bright!Icky wrote: Fri Oct 19, 2018 1:27 pm This may be why I ended up reducing the RGB resistor values when sorting out my monitor cable.
So diodes technically not needed
In light of what I said in the other thread, ultimately if we ran this offer regulator, it would help a little bit of interference on the drivers, and we could also put a preset to adjust the voltage, this way people could just set it to whatever brightness they wanted..
There will also, maybe just easier to go with the Falcon DAC instead..
Re: exxos finally in the game!
My wife sees that TV she would have to have one!
Re: exxos finally in the game!
I've been looking at the odd dot crawl/ interference on the video..
I added in some 50pF caps, on the RGB and H&Vsync lines, and the problem is indeed a lot less now.
I also noticed after doing the other brightness fix, that the horizontal interference on the desktop drag bar seems to be back again
I have looked into this noise before, on a normal STFM as mentioned before elsewhere. But I think the problem is here that the slightest bit of noise on the RGB lines or power rail is actually been amplified by the RGB drivers.
On the Falcon, I never saw any of this interference, some hoping this is because of the Video DAC used. As mentioned, I have designed the board to use this chip, so it is strongly looking like that is the direction I will go in.
Going to try some caps on the RGB transistor bases next, to see what that does...
EDIT:
Did not fix the noise on the drag bar, interference was almost gone on the background green, but also it blurred the image a lot as well.. Not really surprised.
