Someone suggested routing the MONO shifter output, to all the RGB inputs, basically so they will drive MONO to the RGB signals.. I think it was in part thinking about a intergrated UBE adapter..
Basically they should go direct to a VGA monitor and should work in MONO..
I guess anyone who has a spare video dac board could do some hardwiring to see this idea works okay or not..
Of course on a new MB it would probably require a multiplexer chip to do the switching.. But this shouldn't be complicated to do just needs the chip adding..
The slightly annoying thing is, MONO could have been injected into the analogue RGB inputs to the DAC, and the DAC could have switched between the RGB and MONO inputs, but we are using that function for the Blanking
