Not quite the same, but it reminds me of my VGA switcher box:rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 4:33 pm It is entirely possible I have been labelling my plugs. You now, for reference...

Looks like I lose some points for having hand written labels though!

It's certainly better than my switcher, which has never gotten labelled, and therefore the switching technique is generally "push buttons until the right thing appears".mrbombermillzy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 11:10 pm Looks like I lose some points for having hand written labels though!

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Stuff and Things.
I do have one VGA switcher, and it is labeled, but only 2 channel.
The retro area on the other hand has a 4 channel RCA (Composite and R/L audio) switcher that I really should label
My HDMI switcher is automatic, so it's not labeled

Re: Stuff and Things.
Ok, so I'm running out of connections for stuff!!
Now I have the Xbox out in the retro area, I need 5 composite switches to feed the Retrotink, but only have a 4 port switch, so I need to have a delve around in my cables and see what I can use as an alternative, I'm sure I have a SCART or composite to HDMI which would mean I can use one of the free slots in my HDMI switcher. That'll be a tomorrow job I think as I have a wedding to go to later.
Happy to say I have a few other retro bits and bobs on the way too:
A 32K RAM expansion for the TI 99/4a:
It does come in a 3d printed case BTW.
A joystick adapter for the same:
And a Joystick adapter for the Dragon:
I have to say that the place I've been getting stuff from on eBay, 8Bit-Tronics, is great. It's been a one stop shop for some good add ons, like FinalGROM, CoCoSDC and the joystick adapters (There's stuff for other machines too), and the chap has been very communicative and helpful too. Not only that but his prices are very reasonable as well.
Web site is at: 8bit-tronics, I'd definitely recommend a look and if you don't see what you want on the eBay store, you can contact him directly to see what he can do for you.
