16MHz BOOSTER & TOS206 decoder stock changes

The 16MHz booster & TOS 206 DECODER I am going to start selling a single board which will be the booster (Which has the 206 decoder anyway).

The reason for the split originally was because I was mostly having to assemble them myself and the boosters took a lot longer. Now I have bulk purchased the " barebones" boards, it would just make sense to do a single board as opposed to 2 separate ones now.

As previously mentioned *somewhere*, the boosters are a problem because they also require me to solder a socket onto test them with the CPU, which is two more lots of items to solder and test (When they are stocked and tested separately anyway) . Time I just do not have and I cannot solder endless thousands of pins myself these days either. Aside from that, some people may want to solder the CPU directly onto the board, and others may want a socket. Ordinarily this would make two products just for that one booster project. Having multiple variations just makes everything take a lot longer. Also I have to basically stock the CPU twice. Once for the booster "kit" and again as a separate item in the store.

Overall it would just make more sense to sell the barebones boards programmed with the booster and decoder as default. This way people can just simply use as a decoder board if they want. They can solder a socket onto the board, or not. They can buy the CPU, or not. It offers a lot more options and saves me a lot of work as well.

The current boards are revision "1.4A" And as the stock has been empty for a while, this is what the new revision boards will be sold as. The price will remain at the "TOS 206" decoder price, so you actually get the 16Mhz booster part for free now.

Sounds like a good compromise. Also, I can see this allowing some people to fit a booster much more affordably...and easily where an H4/H5 is the recipient!

Might be time to update my basket... ;)

Yep CPU is already on the H4/H5 anyway.

 If I did that, I'd have nothing left to buy anything from the store ever again...the divorce costs & maintenance would see to that!
