TF536 Success

I just wanted to say thanks to Stephen for continuing to make the fruits of his labour available - and to exxos for reselling the TF536 boards.

I was new to SMD soldering when I built a 530 last year. There were casualties on that one but I got there in the end. The 534 was easier but took a while to get stable. The 536 took an afternoon from start to finish

9526 Dhrystones, 2.7MB/Sec (Sandisk Ultra CF) in Sysinfo and stability with a (supposedly) 50Mhz copper top 030 that didn't like 50Mhz on the 534.

No questions, no comments, no Columbo "one last thing".... just thanks.

Agreed PhilC - I looked at the 534 when I popped it out of my A500 to drop the 536 in. I'd forgotten how much more there was to do on that!

As satisfying as solder paste is to use, looking at the 534 reminded me why birdseed was the way to go
