Been coding all day again. Basically I have been patching the scripts to work with Stripe. I have also noticed some odd bugs Here and there which I have solved... Though there seems to be some odd bugs which only seems to appear when the store firsts loads on a new PC, though I have been unable to track down the cause of this. I suspect as issues seem random, that may be the JavaScript file is not downloading fully before the script starts executing.

Stock levels now adjust as they should, although for the time being only one item is a allowed to change the quantities currently during testing. I think as it stands, the store just needs thoroughly testing. I need to do a lot of tidying up with routines, and probably need to adding more error checking..I think we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now...

I got a reply from Sage earlier...
I have forwarded the request to our retentions team to close your sagepay account closed in month so no charges will be levied against the account, you will need to speak to worldpay to get them to close your account as I am not able to close your account with them
I already closed my account with worldpay, though I really do expect more trouble with this next month as I do not honestly believe they have actually closed my account. In any case, exactly what charges with them, I assume the £15... I still need to double check on that...

Next reply from Sage..
I am not sure who you are speaking with at WorldPay but there are no charges for the PCI with a sage pay sign up for simplicity plan and if you ask to close the account again there should not be any charges

So again :WTF:

I still can't work out whos billing me for what.

Just got this from Worldpay..

So is my account closed or not ? I actually hate when companies insinuate you need to do something, like activate the business dashboard, which will cost to use it. That was another call to them to actually find out what it was and how to get rid of it. Now its back to the "nag emails" now. Like "activate my account" so is my account not active and I need to activate it to use my account at all ? or is it just bad wording to trick you into activating the business account. If anything it should say "activate your business dashboard" but who knows what they really mean. Customers who are not keeping a close eye on it all will end up with being billed for something they probably don't need. If I get billed next month, and my account isn't closed, exxos will be super pissed!

Got a confirmation email from worldpay about the closure of my account so hopefully thats the end of it.

As WP and Sage were saying I have to be PCI compliant, I emailed Stripe... they said..
in order to collect payment information on your website through Stripe, you would need to be PCI compliant and use either Stripe Checkout or Elements.
I'm not collecting payment information, they keep saying I need PCI regardless, I dont!! why these companies keep going on about it all. :pullhair: :pullhair:

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

So I asked them whats the point of their drop in checkout as it clearly says on their site about it all... The whole point of the drop in checkout is Stripe deal with the PCI, NOT ME!!

Then I got this back..
If customers aren't entering information on your website itself, then you don't need to manage the PCI compliance.
Which is what I have been saying all along!! :chairsmack:

I honestly feel my sanity slipping away with dealing with various companies. Its bad enough dealing with the tax office, each time I ring up I get a different answer, nobody has a clue whats going on with anything anymore

Can we still order from your current store, even to EU countries?
The website says we can't do orders after September 14'th but a few pages back in this thread it sounded like some deadline was extended?
If not, it's not the end of the world to wait for the new store to open :)

With the remake boards taking up my time lately, I haven't had chance to do anymore to my new store these past few weeks. Though I hope I can do some more final testing over xmas, and hopefully the new store can go live in the new year.

One of the huge changes is the payment system. The new store will deal with new EU 3D secure laws. Plus the postage system will calculate accurately the costs of shipping of items. Every item is now weighed and "look up tables" are used to make sure postage prices are charged correctly. The postage scripts took a lot of doing, but they seem to be working well.

There are also checks that overseas orders over 2KG will be "rejected" because there is no "good" way to post items over 2KG. They tick over to Parcel force and they charge a LOT to the point doing 2 separate orders for items actually works out cheaper. So the store will "error" and let you know of such issues.

It all pretty much looks and behaves as the old store did. There has been loads of bug fixes and tweaks and error checking code added as well. Though as said before, the entire thing has been re-written from the ground up. Its likely someone will manage to find bugs, in which case people will have to let me know..

I will post back when the new store goes live :)

In light of working on the remake board orders, its got somewhat confusing because I don't know everyones real-name vs forum name. So when people buy stuff advertised here, then order something from my store, I basically have no idea if they are the same people or not.

In light of some tests I was doing to integrate phpbb login into my store a few weeks ago. I would assume nobody would have any issues with the store adding their forum username into the store checkout address ? This will only work if people are logged into the forum.. Of course the box could be manually entered as well. Though it would make my life a lot easier keeping tracks whos who.

A small update to the new store. As mentioned before *somewhere* , When you are logged into the forum, the store will now welcome you personally... If you are not logged into the forum, No message will be displayed.

The reason for this is for me to be able to keep track of people's real names and forum names. For example, when people order items from my store, and want to buy something like the cases of the forum, it is difficult for me to keep track of who's who. So now people's usernames are now passed along with name and address when ordering.

I have also moved the button information from the top of the store to the bottom of the store, the top section of the store was just getting too cluttered, and if people don't know how to use the store after three years, there is no hope for people anyway
