This is a very technical question, can I intstalled these RAM stick in a STE ?
What will be the issue if not compatible ? Will I going to burn something ?

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Sure you can fit them.
These are non-parity SIMMs, which are recommended for STEs.
And you won't blow up your machine...

Re: STE RAM upgrade
SIMMs have a standard pinout so that is highly unlikely, with the worst case scenario being that the machine doesn't like something about the RAM timings and doesn't work. I agree with @HigashiJun and think they'll be just fine, just be careful with the retaining clips on the SIMM sockets as they can be very fragile.zfrenchy wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 3:59 am

One other issue you can get is that some SIMMs can be thicker and don't physically fit the sockets. If you find this, don't force them in or you risk damaging the sockets.

Re: STE RAM upgrade
The chips seems to be 4bit*256K so you will only get 1Mb total when all 4 is inserted. It will work fine but you could max it out with 4Mb on a STe.
