This quote is amusing, but dangerously accurate!

It reminds me of that fateful day of when I watched my MST keyboard -almost in slow motion - slide off of a low chest of drawers and fall onto the (carpeted!?) floor, smashing into pieces.

In fact, I still have the pieces of that outer casing if anyone wants me to bring it to CL4. (I will dig it out shortly and put pictures in the 'For sale only at CL4 thread').

Maybe an attempt for the Atari equivalent to the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard?

stephen_usher wrote: Wed Oct 01, 2025 4:36 pm Mega ST (and Mega STe/TT) keyboards are rare globally, the former far more so.

Maybe it's because the plastics on the Mega ST keyboard have crystallised more and hence shatter as soon as you look at them. They're selling for hundreds of pounds/dollars each these days.
Yeah, the plastics are not good at all on the Mega keyboards, mine was still breaking as I was trying to fix it!!! I had to use a lot of fibre glass (The sort for ladies nails) to fix it, but it's still good to this day, even if the wrong colour!

I had a whole Intellivision console do a similar thing, I dashed to try and catch it and was too slow. It landed on my foot and the console was fine!!! Unlike my foot, I still have the scar!!!

Well, we havent had one of these for a while.

Heres a 1040STe for a very reasonable price:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/306736312432 ... &recoPos=3

The guy must have seen how much F030s go for and thought he would price it accordingly as it looks *almost* identical, other than the colouring and a few different ports on the back.
