The Falcon RAM board cannot be used but is not really important (or the simm) as the whole RAM gets replaced with SDRAM on the FPGA board anyway with a 16MB SDRAM !I don't have a Falcon RAM board to replace, so not worrying about that...
I used low profile headers with the first version of FPGA blitter board on my dev H5 board along with turned socket pin strips. The PSU will fit as can be seen in the photo of my dev board, the board at the back, is actually flush with the PLCC socket only the chip is raised but with plenty of clearance for the PSU frame.exxos wrote: Fri Sep 12, 2025 2:35 pm
Generally there is only enough room for a socket and a IC such as the ROM.
With header sockets and the FPGA board, it won't fit under the PSU. But is not really important at this point, because it simply needs to be replaceable for development purposes..
Ultimately if the FPGA board is soldered directly into the motherboard with low profile headers, then it should theoretically fit underneath the power supply.. At least that's the intention!![]()

Agreed for dev purposes the square ones are good. For final boards those pins are goodexxos wrote: Sun Sep 14, 2025 9:28 am @Icky thanks but I'd probably use the square pins for Dev boards as its what ijors board uses.
