If you need any of the CD HuCards, I have a bunch of them that work with my SD card solution, just shout.

I think the spindle height was a fairly common issue, at least on the Duo R. Just be careful as it's a press fit on the motor and a pain to move even a little bit.

How are you enjoying R-Type?
I remember having to adjust the Sega Saturns drive height which was a pain, so I expect a similar level of frustration to occur with this

Yes please if you are happy to lend me a CD HuCard.

And as for R-Type, let's just say my skills haven't improved over the years. (My phone corrected years to tears, sounds almost right  )

I expect it to be similar to mine, just very fiddly if all you need to move it by is 1/2mm!!!

It's not actually a HuCard it's a ROM to use with an SD card solution. You just select it, and it boots into the ROM system for CD booting. It's what my Duo R defaults to with no HuCard in it.
My ROM files actually came with the SD card solution I got, so yours may do the same. This is mine: SD Card solution

Likewise, but there are hacked ROM images about that will let you have infinite lives if you want to see all of the game.

Sounds good, you'll like it I'm sure, really opens up the PC Engine to have all sorts in one easy package.

Just spent some time playing some essential SHMUPS for the PC Engine, so wishing your SD Hucard a speedy journey to it's destination so you can too :)

Happy to say that the Turbo Everdrive has arrived and did indeed come with an SD card ready to go

All works great but must backup the SD card in case I kill it
