I'm trying to switchover to HDDRIVER from ICD Pro at the mo
I'm using 32GB cards but it seems that maximum it's prepared to partition is 1GB. According to the docs it looks like it should be 2GB. Has anyone successfully used large cards with HDDRIVER or should I buy some smaller SD cards?
ICD Pro happily accepts large cards and allows you to create 14 * 512Mb partitions. As I was expecting HDDRIVER to be similar, I've spent the evening confusing myself and looking for partitioning options that probably aren't there IYSWIM. So I've come to accept that I need to use smaller cards I think.
Apologies if I sound like I'm griping. It's just been one of those unwelcomed time sinks

The HDDRIVER websites says: "On the part of HDDRIVER there is no upper limit for the capacity of mass storage media. "
If you're using it with an ST and TOS then you will hit the maximum partition size, which IIRC is 512MB. I think the largest drive I've used is 16GB and I was able to split that into multiple 512MB partitions like you've done with ICD Pro.

800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Ah OK. I think I only skimmed that so missed it. Wasn't mentioned in the manual IIRC. Anyway, guess I'll keep trying
Thanks
You should be able to partition as you've described with ICD Pro, I have done so lots of times, however since TOS is limited to 512Mb partitions I don't usually go much beyond 8GB since you end up with unused space which is a bit of a waste.
It is getting harder to get smaller sizes these days though that's for sure.
