I have ordered the mod you suggested, but now trying to get over the dreaded 'This gamecard cannot be read' error. I only have one game to try so though I have tried another reader, it is still the same, so could be the gamecard or the switch, though it did work before I disassembled the working but smashed one I bought, so a bit weird.alexh wrote: Tue May 14, 2024 4:49 pm Cool. Nice to see it living once more. Let us know if you decide to do any more mods.

To be fair, the SD card could easily be the cheapo crappo SD cards I'm using, so I'll look at that again with a decent card if I can find one...alexh wrote: Tue May 14, 2024 8:41 pm Never had that (touch wood) on Switch but lots on 3DS. It's always the uSD card that goes on the Switch for me. I think they must be very poor quality, they expected users to insert and remove only a few times over a consoles lifetime not every week for 5 years.

I don't think that is normal. e.g. I have a MK1 switch (not lite) and I always sleep and try never to power cycle as you have to dig out the RCM jig to use CFW again.rubber_jonnie wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 9:48 am Also interesting and a possible flaw IMHO, if the Switch goes to sleep, then it loses connection to the SD card and you have to power cycle to get the card to be read again...

It does strike me as odd, but whenever it goes to sleep it thinks the SD card has been removed and a power cycle via a prompt the Switch puts up brings it back every time. I've disabled sleep mode for now and I'm trying to download Fortnite, and that is going straight onto the SD no problem.alexh wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 10:35 amI don't think that is normal.
