Here's what I am trying to do, and last worked on this about 6 months ago. The white part on the left is 3D printed and mates with a length of polycarbonate that completes the rear panel. There's a little MeanWell 5A supply behind the two dark screws and the Pi is powered by the JST connector that you can see mounted to the back of the GPIO socket (remove two pins, replace with long right angle pins, place JST shroud on top). A USB hub is mounted above it, ethernet and full-size HDMI - all have leads that connect to the Pi. The hard drive inside is also connected via USB. I realised last night I had not made a DB25 serial port for the terminal - can't think why but probably I was not considering it finished then.

The 64-bit instructions work fine - the only information not contained in the first post is how to add libtirpc-dev.

That looks fantastic, nice job.
I am considering a physical serial port for my PiDP 8/I and also breaking out the other ports to the back as well. An internal PSU would also be nice, and I really like that breakout panel.
I did get a right angle HDMI connector too, but that ended up being a bust as the position of the Pi HDMI port meant it pointed forwards rather than back.
Love that case and front panel, and the colour scheme is so 70's
