Steve wrote: Wed Jun 28, 2023 10:21 am Oh yeah that makes sense now, I wondered why the integer division was lower than mine :) PiStorm is (in my opinion) going to become the perfect upgrade for a H5. @Badwolf we have PeP (a very good Atari driver programmer) in the Discord at the moment to advise on driver development. I hope you get some time to lend your advice to get the HDMI display output going :)
PeP contacted me before with advice on setting up a palettised 256 colour chunky display driver. I didn't have time to follow it up, but if he's around he may be able to do a better job with fVDI than I did :)

All my code for extended video modes does is crib the PiStorm Amiga HDMI framebuffer code, set up a special RAM zone that populates it and then hack fVDI to draw a Falcon True Colour style to that.

At long last I have a stable RTG solution on the Atari PiStorm - This is running Mint at a resolution of 1024x768x256, playing an mp3, and also clock and lines running. Graphics is pseudo emulating a 1MB ET4000. The Pi4 is clocked at the default 1.5GHz

It would be fantastic if other devs join in to add networking etc. I have spent way too much time on this and could do with a breather

Well done @dad664npc tgats done great progress. Wish I could help with the dev work but that’s beyond my abilities.

I do have a Pi 4 spare ready for this at some point.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

That's really awesome @dad664npc I'll try it out on my system soon as the weather cools down, I'd like to show it off at Cyberlegends :)

Be cool if network could be sorted . Been wanting that for the H5 for ages as a plugin module. Though always the same problems of lack of developers :(
