I've not even got the boards yet.. And yes people will have to do the fixes themselves.

Started to look at the patches and the board. I think I will probably do the patch wires underneath where possible then I don't have to look at them :)

Will probably start tonight and will upload alternative pics if I manage to patch another way to @exxos' original patches.

Helpful Hint #1

Not quite a fix but more of a hint. The S2 MIDI header on the H5 has a header close to it that can be used to take the L/R audio out from the MIDI card. However don't put a vertical header in as the S2 card is in the way. Instead put in a 90 degree header.

Check #1 - MAKE SURE YOUR IC11 ISN'T UPSIDE DOWN

On my board, and I assume everyone else's is also, please check that the dot on the chip is on the top left, not on the bottom right as in this image because this is upside down.

do not power up as the IC will get red-hot and kill it...

odd. wonder how many.. though they said some of the boards were scratched and had to be redone, so maybe just half the boards have the issue

You could avoid all this pain by sticking to top and bottom for data signals. I mean its not like the board is tight for space :P

No way possible unfortunately. Was really pushed to fit in 3 layers.
